Business Development Manager – Sydney

As the Business Development Manager for our Sydney office, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a pivotal role in devising and executing business strategies to bolster our market presence, cultivate strategic client relationships, and drive revenue growth.

  • Provide outstanding support to client relationship partners and teams, including crafting strategic marketing plans, devising client relationship strategies, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with industry and practice groups to promote their capabilities both internally and externally.
  • Implement and assess business development strategies to propel growth.
  • Oversee the project management of tender responses and credentials, including conducting research, coordinating input from legal professionals, and drafting relevant sections.
  • Foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the promotion and enhancement of our company brand.
  • Mentor and supervise junior members of the Business Development team.
  • Coach partners and lawyers to enhance their business development skills.
  • Drive the execution of Business Development team projects and introduce improvements.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role within the legal industry.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills across all levels.
  • Strong presentation abilities.
  • Ability to align service offerings with client needs and add value from a business development perspective.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the firm.
