We are partnering with a well-established Australian law firm to recruit an Associate to join its General Liability team in Melbourne.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with experience in insurance litigation or general liability to work on a broad range of complex matters, including personal injury, product liability, institutional abuse and property damage claims, acting for insurer clients.
About the Role
This role will provide exposure to a diverse range of general liability matters, with key responsibilities including:
· Managing personal injury, product liability, institutional abuse and property damage claims
· Advising insurer clients on liability disputes and litigation strategy
· Drafting legal documents, conducting legal research and preparing court materials
· Managing matters with increasing autonomy while collaborating with senior lawyers
· Building and maintaining strong client relationships
· Working closely with a collaborative and high-performing legal team
About You
· 2–5 years’ PAE in general liability, insurance litigation or personal injury
· Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
· Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
· A collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to client service
· Commitment to ongoing professional development
