We are partnering with a well-regarded national law firm to recruit an Associate to join its General Liability practice in Sydney.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with personal injury experience to work on complex, high-value matters for a broad range of insurer clients within a collaborative and growing team.
About the Role
This position sits within a respected insurance and risk practice that advises domestic and international insurers on a wide variety of general liability claims.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to both routine and complex litigation, working closely with senior practitioners while also taking ownership of their own matters.
The role offers a strong mix of litigation and advisory work, with opportunities to develop technical expertise and build long-term client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
· Managing a caseload of general liability and personal injury matters
· Assisting on complex, high-value litigation and dispute resolution
· Drafting pleadings, submissions, and legal advice
· Conducting legal research and providing strategic recommendations
· Liaising with clients, experts, and counsel
· Supporting senior lawyers on large and sensitive matters
· Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering high-quality service
· Collaborating with colleagues across the broader practice
About You
· 2–5 years’ post-qualification experience in personal injury or general liability
· Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
· Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines
· Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
· A collaborative and team-oriented approach
· A proactive attitude and commitment to professional development
· Interest in building a long-term career in insurance litigation
