We’re partnering with a leading national plaintiff firm to recruit a passionate and driven Associate or Senior Associate to join their dedicated Abuse Law team in Melbourne. What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a diverse and sensitive caseload of abuse matters from intake to resolution
- Working closely with survivors to guide them through the legal process with compassion and respect
- Drafting court documents and legal correspondence
- Preparing cases for mediation and court, including briefing counsel and working with expert witnesses
- Negotiating settlements and representing clients in confidential and trauma-informed settings
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 2 years’ PAE, ideally in abuse law or personal injury
- A trauma-informed approach and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent legal drafting and advocacy skills
- Empathy, resilience, and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable clients
- Ability to manage files independently while contributing to a supportive team environment
- Admission to practice in Victoria and a current Australian practising certificate
- A passion for social justice and making a real difference
