Associate or Senior Associate – Abuse Law

We’re partnering with a leading national plaintiff firm to recruit a passionate and driven Associate or Senior Associate to join their dedicated Abuse Law team in Melbourne. What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing a diverse and sensitive caseload of abuse matters from intake to resolution
  • Working closely with survivors to guide them through the legal process with compassion and respect
  • Drafting court documents and legal correspondence
  • Preparing cases for mediation and court, including briefing counsel and working with expert witnesses
  • Negotiating settlements and representing clients in confidential and trauma-informed settings

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years’ PAE, ideally in abuse law or personal injury
  • A trauma-informed approach and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent legal drafting and advocacy skills
  • Empathy, resilience, and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable clients
  • Ability to manage files independently while contributing to a supportive team environment
  • Admission to practice in Victoria and a current Australian practising certificate
  • A passion for social justice and making a real difference
