We are partnering with a leading national law firm to recruit an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Corporate & Commercial team in Brisbane.
This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate lawyer to work on high-quality transactions and advisory matters within a highly regarded and growing practice.
About the Role
This position sits within a well-established Corporate team advising a diverse client base, including ASX-listed companies, private businesses, and emerging growth clients across sectors such as resources, technology, and infrastructure.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of corporate and commercial matters while working closely with experienced senior practitioners on complex and high-profile transactions.
Key responsibilities include:
· Advising on mergers & acquisitions, capital raisings, and corporate advisory matters
· Assisting clients with ASX Listing Rules, regulatory compliance, and governance matters
· Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements and transactional documents
· Supporting regulated and unregulated corporate transactions
· Working on transactional resources matters, including joint ventures, royalty arrangements, and project acquisitions and disposals
· Providing strategic commercial advice to clients across a range of industries
· Liaising directly with clients, stakeholders, and external advisers
· Collaborating with colleagues across practice areas
· Mentoring and supporting junior lawyers
About You
· 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law
· Experience in M&A, capital markets, corporate advisory, or commercial transactions
· Strong understanding of corporate governance and regulatory matters
· Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage competing deadlines and work within a fast-paced environment
· Commercially minded with strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
· Interest in mentoring and developing junior team members
