We are partnering with a leading national law firm to recruit an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Construction & Infrastructure practice in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction lawyer to work on high-value, complex projects within a well-established and high-performing team.
About the Role
This position sits within a highly regarded Construction & Infrastructure team advising major developers, contractors, and institutional clients on front-end construction matters. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced partners and industry professionals across a diverse range of sectors.
The role offers strong exposure to complex project work, along with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and autonomy as experience grows.
Key responsibilities include:
· Advising on front-end construction and infrastructure matters
· Drafting and negotiating construction contracts and project documentation
· Working alongside developers and project managers on large-scale projects
· Supporting procurement processes and project structuring
· Managing files with a high degree of autonomy
· Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers
· Liaising with clients and stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes
· Contributing to team development and knowledge sharing initiatives
About You
· 4+ years’ post-qualification experience in construction law
· Strong front-end construction experience within a reputable firm
· Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating within a team
· Excellent drafting skills and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
· Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
· A proactive, team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills
