We are partnering with a well-regarded firm to recruit an Associate / Senior Associate (3+ PAE) to join its CTP Insurance practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a personal injury lawyer to work on statutory benefits and common law motor accident claims within a busy and established insurance team.
About the Role
This position sits within a specialist insurance practice that advises insurers, self-insured organisations and corporations on a range of personal injury and insurance-related disputes.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior lawyers while also managing aspects of matters independently. The role offers exposure to both statutory benefits disputes and common law claims, including matters before the Personal Injury Commission.
Key responsibilities include:
· Preparing submissions and applications for matters before the Personal Injury Commission (PIC)
· Advising on certificates, review grounds and statutory benefits disputes
· Drafting applications, replies and supporting legal documentation
· Assisting with the management of common law motor accident claims under supervision
· Corresponding with opposing solicitors, insurers and other stakeholders
· Preparing legal advice and recommendations on liability, damages and claim strategy
· Managing a high volume of matters while maintaining accurate file management
· Preparing client reports and updates in accordance with reporting requirements
· Supporting senior practitioners across complex personal injury matters
About You
· 3+ years’ PAE with experience in CTP or personal injury insurance litigation
· Experience working on statutory benefits disputes and/or common law claims
· Familiarity with matters before the Personal Injury Commission is advantageous
· Strong legal drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
· Confident communication style with the ability to build effective client relationships
· Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team
