A well-established law firm in Brisbane is seeking an enthusiastic Associate or Senior Associate to join their Wills & Estates team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer with a solid grounding in succession law to broaden their experience across estate planning, administration and litigation.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload including the preparation of complex estate planning documents, probate applications, trust disputes and family provision claims. Advising clients on wills, powers of attorney, testamentary trusts and estate planning strategies to protect their interests will form a core part of your role.
Key duties include:
· Drafting and reviewing estate planning and administration documents
· Guiding clients through estate administration from inception to completion
· Representing clients in contested estates and related litigation matters
· Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and paralegals
· Maintaining excellent client communication and fostering strong relationships
· Collaborating with colleagues across departments such as superannuation and personal injury
About You
· A minimum of 4 years post-admission experience specialising in Wills and Estates law
· Proven ability to manage estate planning, administration and litigation matters independently
· Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a client-centred approach
· Able to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients
· Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
· Experience mentoring junior lawyers and support staff
· Competent legal researcher and strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities
· Collaborative team player committed to the highest professional and ethical standards
