We are partnering with a well-established national law firm to recruit an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Workplace Relations & Safety practice in Adelaide.
This is an excellent opportunity for an employment lawyer to work across a broad mix of advisory and litigation matters within a growing and high-performing team.
About the Role
This position sits within a reputable Workplace Relations & Safety team advising a diverse client base, including corporate organisations, insurers, and government bodies. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of employment, industrial relations, and safety matters.
The role offers a strong mix of contentious and non-contentious work, along with the opportunity to work closely with senior practitioners and develop meaningful client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
· Advising on workplace relations, employment, and work health & safety matters
· Managing and supporting litigation, including disputes and regulatory proceedings
· Assisting with investigations, compliance issues, and risk management strategies
· Preparing matters for hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution processes
· Drafting legal documents, advice, and correspondence
· Building and maintaining strong client relationships
· Collaborating with colleagues across practice areas
· Mentoring junior lawyers (for Senior Associate level)
About You
· 4+ years’ post-qualification experience in employment or workplace relations law
· Experience across both advisory and litigation matters
· Familiarity with dispute resolution processes, including mediations and hearings
· Strong drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and within a team
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
· Interest in mentoring and developing junior team members (for senior candidates)
