We are partnering with a leading Australian law firm to recruit an Associate to join its Workplace & Safety team in Melbourne.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with experience in employment, workplace relations or industrial law to work across a broad range of advisory and contentious matters, acting for employers, insurers and corporate clients on complex workplace issues.
About the Role
This role will provide exposure to a diverse range of workplace and employment matters, with key responsibilities including:
· Advising clients on employment, workplace relations and industrial law matters
· Assisting with workplace investigations, disciplinary processes, performance management and terminations
· Supporting restructures, employment contracts, workplace policies and compliance matters
· Managing employment disputes, including unfair dismissal, discrimination and general protections claims
· Drafting legal advice, court documents and employment-related agreements
· Working closely with senior lawyers while building strong client relationships
About You
· 2–5 years’ PAE in employment, workplace relations or industrial law
· Experience across both advisory and employment dispute matters
· Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
· Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively
· Commitment to delivering practical, client-focused legal solutions
