About the Role
We are working with a highly regarded family law practice that is seeking a motivated Family Lawyer with 1+ years post-admission experience to join their Sydney team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer who is passionate about family law and wants to build a rewarding career in a supportive environment.
You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of family law matters, including parenting, property, divorce, financial agreements, and domestic violence matters, working alongside experienced practitioners who will support your professional development.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a caseload of family law matters with appropriate supervision
• Draft legal documents including affidavits, applications, and consent orders
• Conduct legal research and provide clear, client-focused advice
• Appear in court and at mediations where required
• Build strong client relationships with empathy and professionalism
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality client outcomes
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
• Minimum 1 year post-admission experience in family law (or exposure during rotations/placements)
• Experience handling parenting and/or property matters will be highly regarded
Skills:
• Strong drafting and advocacy skills
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Ability to communicate with sensitivity and clarity in emotionally charged situations
