We are partnering with a well-established national law firm to recruit an Industrial & Employment Lawyer or Associate to join its Brisbane office.
This is a strong opportunity for a junior to mid-level lawyer to build their expertise within a reputable workplace relations practice, working across a broad mix of advisory and litigation matters.
About the Role
This position sits within a national Industrial & Employment team advising a diverse client base across both contentious and non-contentious matters. The successful candidate will work on a variety of employment-related disputes and claims, while also supporting advisory work across workplace relations and regulatory issues.
The role offers hands-on experience, close mentoring from senior practitioners, and the opportunity to develop advocacy skills and technical capability in a supportive team environment.
Key responsibilities include:
· Assisting with a broad range of employment and industrial relations matters
· Supporting litigation across courts and tribunals
· Drafting pleadings, submissions, and legal correspondence
· Conducting legal research and preparing advice
· Assisting with dispute resolution and case strategy
· Engaging with clients and supporting ongoing relationships
· Managing files and progressing matters with appropriate supervision
· Contributing to team initiatives and knowledge development
About You
· 1–5 years’ post-qualification experience
· Experience or demonstrated interest in employment, industrial relations, or litigation
· Strong legal research and drafting skills
· Excellent organisational and time management abilities
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Analytical mindset with sound judgment and attention to detail
· Ability to work collaboratively and show initiative
· Interest in professional development and career progression
