An opportunity is available for a Junior Legal Assistant with prior legal secretarial experience to join a busy and fast-paced Dust Diseases team based in Brisbane CBD. This role will see the successful candidate provide high-quality administrative and legal support, while further developing their skills across a range of legal support functions.

What You’ll Be Doing
· Providing administrative and secretarial support to a busy legal team
· Drafting and formatting correspondence and legal documents
· Liaising with government bodies, including the ATO, Centrelink, Medicare and WorkCover
· Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail and couriers
· Compiling briefs to counsel and external experts
· Transcribing digital dictation with a high level of accuracy
· Maintaining electronic and hard copy file management systems
· Coordinating appointments with clients, medical professionals, and counsel
· Preparing files for conferences, hearings, and related proceedings
· Assisting with general office and administrative duties as required
About You
· Previous experience in a legal secretarial or legal assistant role is essential
· Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional phone manner
· High level of attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
· Proactive, reliable, and adaptable approach to work
· Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
