A well-regarded and growing firm is seeking a Lawyer or Associate with 1–3 years’ post-admission experience to join its Health and General Insurance Disputes team.

Working closely with experienced practitioners, the successful candidate will be exposed to complex health and insurance matters and will play a key role in rebuilding and strengthening the local practice offering.

What You’ll Be Doing
· Act on a variety of health and general insurance matters, including medical malpractice claims, coronial inquests, statutory complaints, class actions, and sensitive general liability claims
· Manage matters with autonomy while working collaboratively with team members and partners
· Provide clear, practical, client-focused legal advice
· Assist with the strategic direction of files, including negotiations, risk management advice, and litigation preparation
· Engage with clients, insurers, and external stakeholders
· Mentor junior lawyers and paralegals, supporting their development
· Contribute to team initiatives, learning, and knowledge-sharing
About You
· 1–3 years’ post-admission experience, preferably in health-related disputes, medical malpractice, and coronial law (general personal injury litigation experience will also be considered)
· Experience practising in the District Court, Supreme Court, and/or State Administrative Tribunal
· Ability to confidently advise on complex matters and explain issues clearly to clients
· Strong technical skills, client focus, and relationship-building capability
· Thrives in a collaborative and solution-driven environment
· Ability to manage priorities, work autonomously, and contribute to a growing practice
· Interest in mentoring and supporting the development of junior team members
