A national corporate law firm is seeking a Banking & Finance Lawyer (2–5 years PAE) to join its Sydney team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile lending and finance transactions for major banks, financial institutions, and private lenders operating across the Australian corporate lending market.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of Banking & Finance matters, including property and construction finance, asset finance, and general corporate funding transactions. The role will involve drafting, negotiating, and settling complex finance documents while working closely with clients across sectors such as property and construction, hospitality, manufacturing, professional services, aged care, and health.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating finance and security documentation
• Advising on property and construction finance, asset finance, and corporate funding matters
• Managing transactions from initial structuring through to settlement and completion
• Liaising directly with banks, financial institutions, borrowers, and other stakeholders
• Conducting legal research and providing commercially focused advice on financing matters
• Working closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex national transactions
• Maintaining strong client relationships through responsive and high-quality service delivery
About You
• Admitted Solicitor in Australia with a current practising certificate
• 2–5 years PAE within a reputable Banking & Finance practice
• Experience acting on finance transactions involving banks and financial institutions
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Commercially minded with a proactive and client-focused approach
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
