We are partnering with an award-winning and highly respected criminal law firm based in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Known for handling some of the most complex and high-profile criminal litigation in Australia, the firm is now seeking a skilled criminal advocate to join its growing team.

What you’ll be doing:
- Advising clients on criminal law, procedure, and case strategy
- Drafting legal advice and court documents
- Conducting defended hearings and sentencing matters in the Local Court
- Appearing in appeals and sentence matters in the District Court
- Instructing and briefing counsel for complex trials
- Engaging with expert witnesses and building strong client relationships
- Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team development
What we’re looking for:
- 2-3 years’ PAE in criminal law with strong courtroom advocacy skills
- Proven track record managing your own matters across various NSW courts
- NSW Driver’s Licence required
- Panel appointment to Legal Aid NSW Serious Crime Panel (preferred)
- Excellent time management and case preparation skills
- Client-focused approach with the ability to work independently within a team
- Strong written communication and analytical abilities
- Professionalism, resilience, and a high standard of ethics
