We’re partnering with a leading national law firm that is seeking a Lawyer to join its highly regarded Health Law team in Sydney. This is a great opportunity for an early-career lawyer with a strong interest in health law, medical malpractice, and complex inquiries, who is looking to grow within a high-performing and supportive environment.
The team advises major health industry clients on a broad range of litigated and non-litigated matters, including medical malpractice claims, coronial inquests, and commissions of inquiry. You’ll work closely with leading practitioners in the field and gain exposure to complex, high-profile work.
What you’ll be doing:
· Advising health industry clients on medical malpractice and health law matters.
· Assisting with litigated and non-litigated disputes, including coronial inquests and inquiries
· Drafting clear, concise legal advice and court documents
· Appearing in matters before the NSW District Court, Supreme Court, and Coroner’s Court
· Working closely with senior practitioners on complex and sensitive matters
· Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and industry experts
· Using emerging technologies, including AI tools, to improve efficiency and quality of legal work
What we’re looking for:
· At least 1 year post-admission experience
· Experience in personal injury or disputes, ideally medical malpractice or coronial law
· Familiarity with NSW courts, including the District Court, Supreme Court, and Coroner’s Court
· Strong drafting skills with the ability to explain complex issues in plain English
· High attention to detail and strong technical capability
· A collaborative, client-focused, and pragmatic approach
· Curiosity and openness to using AI and new technologies in legal practice
