We are partnering with a respected Australian law firm to recruit a Personal Injury Lawyer to join its Melbourne practice.
This is a strong opportunity for a lawyer with personal injury experience to take on a varied caseload, work closely with clients and develop their practice alongside an experienced legal team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will manage a range of personal injury matters, with responsibilities including:
· Managing a diverse plaintiff and/or defendant caseload
· Advising clients throughout the life of their matters
· Preparing pleadings, correspondence, settlement documentation and other legal materials
· Representing clients at mediations, conferences and court-related matters
· Conducting legal research and providing clear, practical advice
· Negotiating settlements and progressing matters efficiently
· Maintaining strong and professional client relationships
About You
· 2–5 years’ PQE, with relevant personal injury experience
· Current Victorian Practising Certificate
· Experience acting for plaintiffs, defendants or both
· Sound understanding of personal injury law and dispute resolution processes
· Strong drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
· Excellent communication and client management abilities
· Empathetic and professional approach when working with clients
· Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
