We are partnering with a well-established law firm to recruit a skilled Legal Assistant to support a high-performing Personal Injury team in their Brisbane office. What you’ll be doing:
- Drafting and formatting correspondence, legal documents, and court materials
- Preparing briefs to counsel and liaising with third parties (e.g. Government departments, insurers, medical professionals)
- Managing digital dictation and file correspondence
- Coordinating appointments, medico-legal assessments, and conferences
- Organising and maintaining files including archiving
- General office and secretarial duties including mail, filing, and photocopying
- Assisting with court document preparation and tracking case timelines
What we’re looking for:
- Prior legal assistant or secretarial experience (ideally in personal injury or litigation)
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional, courteous, and client-focused approach
- Ability to work autonomously and contribute to a team environment
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
