Our Clients are a leading Personal Injury Law firm based in Sydney, committed to providing exceptional legal services to clients who have suffered personal injuries.

The firm specialises in a wide range of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, medical negligence, and public liability claims.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Personal Injury Legal Secretary to join their team and contribute to their continued success.

Responsibilities

Legal Documentation Preparation

  • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other relevant legal materials.
  • Prepare and maintain client files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and accessible.
  • Handle the filing and service of legal documents with the appropriate courts and opposing parties.

Case Management Support

  • Assist lawyers in organizing and maintaining case files, ensuring all necessary documents and information are up to date.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Prepare and summarize reports, deposition transcripts, and other documents related to ongoing cases.
  • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and maintain the lawyers’ diaries.

Communication and Correspondence

  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, experts, and other stakeholders, both in person and via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Handle incoming calls and inquiries, providing initial assistance or directing them to the appropriate person.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients and external parties.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain and update the firm’s internal databases, ensuring accurate and current information.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements for lawyers as required.
  • Handle billing and invoicing processes, including preparing invoices, tracking payments, and coordinating with the accounting department.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of [1] years of experience working as a legal secretary, preferably in a personal injury law firm or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury law and legal procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using legal software and case management systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to gather and summarize legal information.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
