Legal Secretary – Wills & Estates

We are partnering with a well-established team seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support a busy Wills & Estates practice. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist with all aspects of Wills & Estates matters, including preparation of Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and other estate-planning documents
  • Prepare authorities, distribution statements, and related documentation
  • Perform accurate and timely word processing, typing, formatting, and document collation
  • Assist with digital dictation when required
  • Manage file openings, prepare costs letters, and coordinate archiving of completed files
  • Generate trust and office receipts and manage cheque requisitions
  • Maintain and manage calendars, monitor deadlines, and provide reminders to ensure efficient workflow

About You

  • Proven experience in a legal secretarial role, preferably supporting Wills & Estates matters
  • Strong familiarity with legal terms, standard procedures, and formal document formats
  • A proactive self-starter with strong initiative and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Competent in document production, matter management, and general administrative processes
  • Committed to contributing positively to team culture and delivering excellent client service
