About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Licensed Conveyancer to join our property team in either Newcastle or Toronto, NSW. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of your own files and work autonomously within a supportive and collaborative legal environment. If you have 3+ years’ post-qualification experience and thrive on delivering excellent client service, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
File Management & Legal Work:
• Manage a full conveyancing caseload independently from instruction through to settlement.
• Draft and review legal documents including contracts for sale, transfer documents, settlement statements, and requisitions.
• Carry out property searches, review certificates, and prepare for settlements via PEXA.
Client Engagement & Communication:
• Provide clear, practical, and timely advice to clients throughout the transaction process.
• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving.
• Liaise with real estate agents, banks, solicitors, councils, and other stakeholders.
Compliance & Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and organised records in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
• Identify and address issues early to prevent settlement delays.
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
• A valid NSW Conveyancer’s Licence.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a licensed conveyancer role, managing files independently.
• Strong working knowledge of PEXA and the conveyancing process from start to finish.
Skills:
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Competence in using legal practice management software (e.g. LEAP).
