We are partnering with a well-regarded law firm to recruit a Lawyer (Associate / Senior Associate) to join its growing Personal Injury practice in Hobart. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional to work closely with an experienced senior practitioner while gaining exposure to a broad range of plaintiff personal injury matters.
About the Role
This position sits within a busy and expanding Personal Injury team that acts for individuals across a variety of claims. The successful candidate will work on a diverse caseload and play an active role in supporting clients through often complex and sensitive matters.
Key areas of practice include medical negligence, motor vehicle accidents, workers compensation, public liability, and historical abuse claims.
Key responsibilities include:
· Managing and assisting with a range of personal injury files
· Liaising with clients and providing clear, timely legal advice
· Drafting court documents, correspondence, and legal submissions
· Conducting legal research to support case strategy
· Attending court, mediations, tribunals, and settlement conferences
· Assisting with dispute resolution processes and negotiations
· Maintaining accurate file management and meeting key deadlines
About You
· Admitted to practice with a current practising certificate
· Previous experience in personal injury law
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
· Excellent organisational and time management skills
· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
· Ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality
· Sound negotiation and advocacy skills
· A proactive and client-focused approach
