We are partnering with a well-established plaintiff law firm to recruit a Personal Injury Lawyer to join its Newcastle team.

About the Role
This position sits within a busy and collaborative personal injury practice acting for individuals across a range of compensation and insurance matters. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced practitioners and gain exposure to both litigated and non-litigated matters.
The role offers hands-on involvement across all stages of matters, along with the opportunity to build strong client relationships and further develop advocacy and negotiation skills.
Key responsibilities include:
· Managing a range of personal injury matters from inception through to resolution
· Advising clients in relation to workplace injury and compensation claims
· Assisting with mining-related personal injury matters and complex claims
· Conducting client interviews and maintaining ongoing client communication
· Preparing court documents, correspondence, briefs, and legal advice
· Liaising with insurers, medical professionals, counsel, and other stakeholders
· Negotiating settlements and supporting litigation processes
· Appearing at mediations, conferences, and court proceedings where appropriate
· Managing deadlines and ensuring matters progress efficiently
About You
· 2+ years’ post-admission experience in personal injury law
· Admission as a Solicitor in New South Wales with a current practising certificate
· Experience handling workers compensation or plaintiff insurance matters
· Strong understanding of personal injury legislation and claims processes
· Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
· A collaborative approach and genuine commitment to client outcomes
