About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Property Lawyer to join our Parramatta office. In this role, you will handle a variety of commercial and residential property matters, including conveyancing, leasing, developments, acquisitions, and property disputes. This is an exciting opportunity for a property law specialist to take the next step in their career within a leading national law firm.
Key Responsibilities
As a Property Lawyer, your duties will include:
Property Transactions:
- Advising clients on residential and commercial conveyancing, including sale and purchase agreements.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, leases, and other property-related documentation.
- Managing off-the-plan purchases and property development transactions.
Leasing:
- Preparing and negotiating retail, commercial, and industrial leases.
- Advising landlords and tenants on leasing rights and obligations.
Due Diligence & Compliance:
- Conducting legal due diligence for acquisitions and sales.
- Advising on planning, zoning, easements, and other regulatory compliance matters.
Dispute Resolution:
- Managing property disputes, including boundary, easement, and landlord-tenant issues.
- Representing clients in negotiations and, where necessary, court proceedings.
Client Engagement:
- Maintaining strong, professional relationships with clients across a diverse portfolio.
- Providing clear and timely legal advice in plain English.
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
- A current NSW Practising Certificate.
- At least 5 years post-admission experience (PQE) in property law.
- Solid experience in commercial and residential conveyancing, leasing, and property-related advice.
- Litigation or dispute resolution experience related to property matters is highly regarded.
Skills:
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and sound commercial judgment.
