We’re partnering with a leading commercial law firm that is looking for a proactive Solicitor or Associate to join their Public Law Litigation team in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in Administrative or Public Law who wants to grow their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The team works closely with Government clients and handles a high volume of Court and Tribunal matters, with a focus on delivering high-quality advice and representation. Known for its collaborative culture and strong values, the team fosters professional development and career progression.
What you’ll be doing:
- Representing Government clients in a variety of legal matters
- Attending court and tribunal appearances, including Federal Court, Federal Circuit and Family Court, and Administrative Appeals Tribunal
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents and correspondence
- Providing timely and strategic legal advice
- Managing a high-volume workload while maintaining attention to detail
- Collaborating with Partners and team members to achieve successful client outcomes
- Engaging with stakeholders across government and private sectors
- Travelling intra/interstate for court or tribunal appearances as required
What we’re looking for:
- 2-4 years PQE experience in Administrative Law, Public Law, or Government Litigation
- Advocacy experience and confidence appearing before relevant courts and tribunals
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Professional, client-focused, and proactive approach
- Willingness to travel as necessary
