We are partnering with a well-regarded litigation practice to recruit a Public Law Litigation Solicitor/Associate to join its Sydney team. This is an excellent opportunity for a public law and litigation lawyer looking to join a highly regarded practice and work on complex and high-profile matters.
About the Role
The role will involve working across a range of public law and litigation matters, with key responsibilities including:
· Acting on complex public law and administrative law disputes
· Advising clients on judicial review and statutory interpretation matters
· Conducting legal research and developing case strategy
· Drafting pleadings, submissions, advices and other legal documentation
· Preparing matters for hearings, conferences and litigation proceedings
· Assisting with complex disputes involving government, regulatory and statutory bodies
· Working closely with senior lawyers and counsel on sophisticated matters
· Managing client relationships and providing clear, commercially focused legal advice
· Progressing matters efficiently and contributing to the broader litigation practice
About You
· Relevant experience in public law, administrative law and/or litigation
· Strong understanding of judicial review and public law principles
· Excellent legal research, analytical and drafting skills
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex matters
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong advocacy, negotiation and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
· Commercial and strategic approach to legal issues
· Genuine interest in public law and complex litigation
