We are partnering with a highly regarded commercial law firm to recruit a Senior Associate to join its Building & Construction team in Sydney.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction lawyer to work on a broad range of front-end and dispute resolution matters while advising a diverse client base across the commercial, government, and private sectors.
About the Role
This position offers exposure to complex construction matters and the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners within a collaborative and high-performing team. Key responsibilities include:
· Advising on front-end construction matters, including drafting and negotiating building contracts
· Acting on building and construction disputes in courts, tribunals, and adjudications
· Preparing legal advice, pleadings, and dispute-related documentation
· Working with technical experts and assisting with complex construction claims
· Managing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives
About You
· 5+ years’ PAE with strong experience in building and construction law
· Experience across both front-end and construction disputes
· Strong knowledge of security of payment legislation and dispute resolution processes
· Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
· Commercially minded with a proactive and client-focused approach
· Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a team
