A respected national firm is seeking a Senior Associate with 4+ years’ PAE to join its growing Health Law team. What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage and act on a range of health law matters including health liability claims, professional negligence, inquiries, disciplinary investigations, and risk advisory work
- Run files autonomously from initial instruction to resolution, with guidance available whenever needed
- Draft and review pleadings, submissions, evidence, and regulatory responses
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic, commercially sound advice
- Engage in negotiations, mediations, and conferences with insurers, regulators, and other parties
- Attend hearings, inquiries, and disciplinary forums as required
- Maintain clear, empathetic, and consistent communication with clients
- Contribute to team initiatives and knowledge-sharing within a supportive, growth-focused environment
About You
- Admitted Solicitor in Victoria with a current practising certificate
- Minimum 4+ years’ post-admission experience, ideally in health law, medical negligence, insurance litigation, or related areas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an adaptable, client-centric approach
- Ability to run matters independently while staying collaborative and open to learning
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Practical, solutions-focused, and confident in advising healthcare professionals and organisations
- High ethical standards and a genuine interest in contributing to the healthcare law space
