We are partnering with a leading commercial law firm to recruit a Senior Associate to join its Employment & Industrial Relations practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to work on complex, high-profile matters within a collaborative and high-performing legal team.
About the Role
This position sits within a well-established Employment & Industrial Relations team advising a diverse client base on a wide range of workplace and industrial matters.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering strategic legal advice, managing disputes, and supporting corporate transactions, while working closely with partners and senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
· Advising on employment law and industrial relations matters
· Managing workplace disputes, investigations, and regulatory issues
· Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, policies, and agreements
· Supporting enterprise bargaining and interpretation of industrial instruments
· Advising on performance management, disciplinary processes, and terminations
· Providing employment law support on corporate and transactional matters
· Reviewing awards and compliance obligations
· Liaising with clients and stakeholders to deliver commercially focused outcomes
· Contributing to the development of junior lawyers and team initiatives
About You
· 4–7 years’ post-qualification experience in employment and industrial relations law
· Background in a reputable private practice environment
· Strong technical skills with a commercial and client-focused approach
· Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability
· Collaborative, proactive, and team-oriented mindset
