We are partnering with a leading national law firm to recruit a Senior Associate to join its Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Perth.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation lawyer to work on complex, high-value disputes across a diverse range of industries, within a high-performing and well-resourced team.
About the Role
This position sits within a highly regarded disputes practice acting for a broad client base, including corporates, insurers, government entities, and high-net-worth individuals.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide variety of contentious matters and will play a key role in managing cases, advising clients, and supporting strategic outcomes.
The role offers a strong mix of autonomy and collaboration with senior practitioners on significant and high-stakes litigation.
Key responsibilities include:
· Managing a diverse caseload of commercial and civil litigation matters
· Acting on complex contractual and commercial disputes
· Advising on statutory claims, including consumer and corporations law matters
· Handling professional negligence and directors’ and officers’ liability claims
· Working on large-scale property damage and insurance disputes
· Assisting with regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings
· Engaging directly with clients, counsel, experts, and other stakeholders
· Contributing to strategy, risk assessment, and dispute resolution approaches
· Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers
· Collaborating with colleagues across different practice areas and jurisdictions
About You
· 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in litigation or dispute resolution
· Strong experience in commercial litigation and civil procedure
· Familiarity with court processes, ideally within Western Australia
· Ability to manage complex matters and work in a fast-paced environment
· Strong drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
· A proactive and commercially minded approach
· Demonstrated leadership capability and interest in mentoring junior lawyers
· A collaborative and team-oriented mindset
