We are partnering with a highly regarded Australian law firm to recruit an experienced Senior Associate to join its Restructuring & Insolvency practice in Sydney.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer to work on complex restructuring, corporate insolvency and insolvency-related litigation matters, while playing a key role in mentoring junior lawyers and supporting a high-performing team.
About the Role
This role will provide exposure to a broad range of restructuring and insolvency matters, with key responsibilities including:
· Advising on corporate restructuring, insolvency and related disputes
· Managing complex matters with a high level of autonomy
· Acting for insolvency practitioners, corporates, financial institutions, investors and other stakeholders
· Providing commercially focused legal advice across a diverse client base
· Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers
· Collaborating with senior practitioners on strategic and high-profile matters
About You
· 5+ years’ PAE in restructuring and insolvency law within a reputable law firm
· Strong technical expertise with a commercial and client-focused approach
· Excellent communication, drafting and stakeholder management skills
· Ability to manage multiple matters and meet competing deadlines
· Experience mentoring or supervising junior lawyers
· A collaborative and proactive approach to working within a team
