We are partnering with a well-established and highly regarded plaintiff firm seeking an Abuse Lawyer with 2+ years PAE to join their dedicated team in Melbourne. What You’ll Be Doing
· Manage and progress a caseload of abuse and personal injury claims under supervision
· Provide clear, empathetic legal advice to clients and assist with preparation of claims
· Prepare and review legal documents, briefs, and correspondence
· Liaise with medical experts, counsellors, and other key stakeholders to support case development
· Attend mediations, conferences, and hearings where required
· Maintain accurate file management, time recording, and documentation using firm systems
· Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
· 2+ years post-admission experience, ideally within abuse, personal injury, or plaintiff litigation
· Admitted (or eligible for admission) to practise in Victoria
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with a compassionate, client-centred approach
· Excellent organisational and time management abilities
· A proactive mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks and work collaboratively
· Demonstrates resilience, empathy, and a genuine desire to assist survivors of abuse
· High attention to detail and commitment to achieving quality outcomes
