We are partnering with a highly regarded national law firm to recruit a Banking & Finance Solicitor or Associate to join its growing Melbourne team.

About the Role
This role sits within an established Banking & Finance practice advising major domestic banks, private credit funds, non-bank lenders and corporate borrowers on a broad range of financing transactions.
The successful candidate will work closely with respected senior practitioners across a mix of complex matters including syndicated and bilateral lending, acquisition finance, property and construction finance, agribusiness funding and general corporate finance transactions.
You will be given meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction and the opportunity to further develop both your technical and commercial capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
· Advising lenders and borrowers on a range of banking and finance matters
· Drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documents and ancillary finance documentation
· Managing transactions from structuring through to settlement
· Assisting on syndicated, club and bilateral lending transactions
· Working closely with clients to deliver commercially focused outcomes
· Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers within the team
· Collaborating with colleagues across a nationally connected practice
About You
· 2+ years’ PAE in Banking & Finance from a recognised Australian or international firm
· Strong drafting, analytical and transaction management skills
· Experience working on lending and finance transactions
· Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
· Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
· Collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork
· Interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team development
