A leading defendant insurance and government practice is seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join its Health & Sensitive Claims team. This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of complex and sensitive matters, including personal injury claims, nervous shock claims, and historical abuse claims within institutional settings, while working closely with experienced practitioners in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Manage and assist with a portfolio of health and sensitive claims matters
• Provide legal advice and strategic recommendations on defendant claims
• Review evidence and assess liability and quantum issues
• Prepare legal correspondence, court documents and client reporting
• Assist with litigation and dispute resolution processes
• Manage large volumes of documentation while meeting competing deadlines
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurer and government clients
• Contribute to business development and networking initiatives
• Work collaboratively with colleagues while managing matters independently
About You
• Admitted Solicitor with a current practising certificate
• Minimum 3 years’ post-admission experience
• Experience in personal injury, health, sensitive claims and/or abuse-related matters
• Defendant insurance or government litigation experience is highly regarded
• Experience managing or assisting with a portfolio of claims matters
• Sound understanding of New South Wales civil procedure
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and file management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines
• Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
• A proactive approach to professional development and career growth
