We’re working with a national law firm that is seeking a driven Solicitor or Associate (2–5 PAE) to join its high-profile Commercial Litigation and Class Actions team in Melbourne. This is a rare opportunity to work alongside leading practitioners on some of the most complex and sensitive disputes in the country.
The successful candidate will play a key role in representing major institutions, including government agencies and religious organisations, in high-stakes historical abuse and personal injury matters.

What you’ll be doing:
- Managing sensitive litigation involving historical abuse and institutional liability
- Assisting on complex class action proceedings and high-value disputes
- Advising on litigation risk, public inquiries, and crisis management
- Supporting senior lawyers on media and defamation work
- Engaging directly with clients and contributing to practice growth
- Collaborating across practice groups and jurisdictions
What we’re looking for:
- 2–5 years’ PAE in commercial litigation or related practice areas
- Demonstrated experience handling complex or sensitive disputes
- Strong legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in high-pressure environments
- Interest in class actions, public law, or media law
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
