An established and reputable practice is seeking an experienced Solicitor with 3–5+ years’ post-admission experience to join its growing Public Liability team. This role is ideal for a lawyer who thrives in a dynamic, client-focused environment and is ready to take on meaningful work that directly impacts injured individuals.
Working closely with senior practitioners, the successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of public liability matters and be involved in all stages of litigation from intake and investigation through to negotiation, mediation, and resolution. What You’ll Be Doing
- Act on a range of public liability matters, managing files from intake to resolution
- Prepare and review pleadings, Statements of Claim, evidence, and other court documents
- Conduct legal research and provide clear, strategic advice on case merits
- Manage negotiations and settlement discussions in line with client instructions
- Attend conferences, mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings with clients and counsel
- Maintain consistent, transparent communication with clients
- Mentor and supervise junior staff and support team members
- Meet KPIs relating to file management, client satisfaction, and fee budgets
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to team initiatives and knowledge-sharing
About You
- Admitted Solicitor in NSW with a current practising certificate
- 3–5+ years’ post-admission experience in personal injury litigation, preferably in public liability
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and client-management abilities
- Demonstrated track record of achieving strong outcomes for clients
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to supervise and mentor junior staff
- Collaborative and aligned with high ethical and professional standards
- Passionate about helping clients navigate complex and challenging situations
