We are partnering with a well-established litigation practice to recruit an experienced Special Counsel – Class Actions to join its Sydney team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior litigator with strong class actions experience to take on a key role within a growing specialist practice. The position offers exposure to complex and high-value matters, with the opportunity to contribute at a strategic and senior level.
About the Role
The role will involve working across complex class action and litigation matters, with key responsibilities including:
· Managing and progressing complex class action matters
· Developing case strategy and providing high-level legal advice
· Drafting and reviewing sophisticated legal documentation
· Managing relationships with clients and key stakeholders
· Working closely with counsel and external parties
· Providing strategic guidance and mentoring to junior lawyers
· Contributing to the continued development of the class actions practice
About You
· Significant experience in class actions and complex litigation
· Strong technical legal and analytical skills
· Proven ability to manage sophisticated matters with autonomy
· Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
· Strong commercial judgement and strategic thinking
· Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
· Ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
· Senior-level leadership and mentoring capability
