We’re working with a well-established firm that is seeking an experienced Special Counsel to join its Wills, Estate Planning and Probate team.
This opportunity is ideal for a senior lawyer (approximately 8–10+ years PAE) looking for a leadership role, long-term career progression and a genuine work-life balance within a collaborative and values-driven firm.

What you’ll be doing:
· Leading and managing complex estate planning and estate administration matters
· Advising clients on wills, testamentary trusts, powers of attorney and estate planning strategies
· Managing probate and letters of administration matters
· Providing strategic advice with a sound understanding of trust, tax and succession law implications
· Maintaining direct and trusted client relationships
· Supervising and mentoring paralegals and junior lawyers
· Managing a diverse caseload while ensuring high-quality and timely outcomes
· Contributing to practice development and firm growth
What we’re looking for:
· 8–10+ years PAE in wills, estate planning and estate administration
· Strong technical knowledge of succession law, trust law and tax considerations
· Experience handling complex estate planning matters independently
· Excellent drafting, advisory and client management skills
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
· Leadership capability with experience mentoring junior team members
· Collaborative mindset with an interest in practice growth and client development
