About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Workers Compensation Lawyer to join our team in Parramatta. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of workers compensation claims, providing legal advice, and supporting clients throughout the claims process. This position is perfect for someone with 1-9 years of post-qualification experience in workers compensation law, looking to take the next step in their career with a leading national law firm.

Key Responsibilities

As a Workers Compensation Lawyer, your duties will include:

• Managing Workers Compensation Claims:

• Advising clients on their rights and options under workers compensation laws.
• Handling claims from initial lodgement to settlement, including disputes and appeals.
• Representing clients in administrative hearings and court proceedings when required.

• Client Relationships:

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring clients are well informed throughout the process.
• Demonstrating empathy and providing clear, practical advice tailored to clients’ individual situations.

• Legal Research & Drafting:

• Conducting detailed legal research to support case strategies.
• Drafting and preparing legal documents such as claims, pleadings, and settlement offers.

• Case Management & Litigation:

• Managing multiple files efficiently, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Collaborating with other team members and external parties to progress claims and resolve disputes.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience:

• A valid NSW Practising Certificate.
• 1-9 years of post-qualification experience in workers compensation law.
• A sound understanding of NSW workers compensation legislation and relevant legal procedures.

• Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating with a supportive team.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills.

• Qualities:

• A client-focused approach with the ability to empathise with clients and their situations.
• A commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.
• The ability to handle complex legal issues with sound judgment.
