We are partnering with a well-established law firm to recruit a Workers Compensation Lawyer (1–8 PAE) to join its Narellan team. This is an excellent opportunity for a workers compensation lawyer at any stage of their early-to-mid career to join a supportive and well-regarded practice.
About the Role
The role will involve managing a range of workers compensation matters, with key responsibilities including:
· Managing a portfolio of workers compensation matters from initial instruction through to resolution
· Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients
· Preparing and reviewing legal documentation, correspondence and submissions
· Conducting negotiations with insurers and other relevant parties
· Representing clients in relevant disputes, conferences and hearings
· Building and maintaining strong client relationships
· Working collaboratively with senior lawyers and the broader team
· Progressing matters efficiently while maintaining a high standard of client service
· Contributing to the continued development of the workers compensation practice
About You
· 1–8 years post-admission experience, ideally with a focus on workers compensation
· Sound understanding of NSW workers compensation legislation and processes
· Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
· Ability to manage matters with an appropriate level of autonomy for your experience
· Excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills
· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
· Client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
· Strong commercial and practical judgement
